Research interests:
Studies in the area of the Structural
and Functional Phytosociology: problems concerning the
allelopathy, the primary productivity and its dynamics,
the net-assimilation, the biological turnover, the energetic
flux and the intensity of energy utilisation, the utilisation
and accumulation of bioelements and toxicants in forest
communities. Scientific interests concerning also most
recent problems as: the pollution and the vegetation
diversity, the ecosystem health and risk assessment,
a rational usage, conservation and restoration of the
forest communities and their role for the ecological
monitoring (dendrochronology) and environmental protection
etc. Over 70 publications and reports; participation
in 9 national projects and consultant of 1 international
project.
